The Decor You Need for Your Next Dinner Party

I’m obsessed with dinner parties

They’re the best excuse to bring together a bunch of friends from all walks of life and enjoy great food. While this is true, I’m not ashamed to say that one of my favourite parts is setting up the table decor!

Of course, to throw a dinner party, you’ll need the right tools. To prep, I’ve rounded up my 10 must haves for setting up a stylish table scape which will have everyone impressed!

In The Round House

We’re certain the compliments will be flowing when you serve dinner on any In The Round House plate! Although I am partial to a full set, I do love how you can mix and match & create your own unique set!

Signature Homewares x Ursula Dodge

A recent find of mine originally came from a TikTok! These vintage plates were designed by Ursula Dodge for Signature Homewares Inc. I’ve purchased the Martini Plate set, and love the cheese & wine ones (next on my list!) you can find them quite affordably on eBay and Etsy. They will go perfectly as side plates with In the Round House!

Napkins

It’s all about the accessories, and napkins are no different! If you’ve stuck with a simple white plate, statement napkins are the perfect way to jazz up the table. They are also so much easier to store than hundreds of different plates!

Champagne Coupes

The detailed champagne coupe has really taken off recently, and I’m here for it. To begin your collection, I’d honestly suggest starting at the opshops. You can find some really cute glassware that looks like it’s come out of a Home editorial. If that’s not your thing, I love the Fazeek Wave Coupes!

Salad Bowls

A salad bowl becomes the center of attention at any dinner party, so it’s essential that it stands out, for all the good reasons. The Pesce Salad Bowl is perfect when you’ve got lots already got pattern and colour taking over. There’s matching salad servers too which are non negotiable.

Cheese Boards

Pre dinner cheese platters are a must in my eyes. I can’t go past a classic wooden serving board. Load up on cheese, crackers, and cured meat garnish with fruit!

Taper Candles

Set the mood with sets of fun candles down the middle of the table. Naaytu’s Rainbow Tapers come in the cutest colour ways - which you can match to your decor theme! Each candle is hand poured in Auckland & look amazing paired with their spiral candles too.

Candle Holders

The key to investing in dinner party decor, is to of course invest in home items that work naturally on the dining table. These gold candle holders are such a feature grouped together, but you can always pop them round the home
