Take a Seat: The Top 7 on Our Armchair Wishlist
BY GEORGIA ROSE
When it comes to dressing the home, the perfect chairs are at the top of our hitlist.

29 AUG - 2022
A chair for the dining table, a ‘wardrobe’ chair for the corner of your bedroom, a statement armchair for the lounge - you’ll want one of each!
It’s no secret I like a good boujee line up of homewares. We’re really moving through all the big ticket items in the home, so next up: the perfect chair.
Let’s be honest, this isn’t a list for the faint hearted. It’s a wishlist, an open budget shopping cart at all the best homewares stores in New Zealand (because although we will splash out for a fancy chair, we won’t be paying international freight!).

Roley Poley
Anyone who spends $1.5k on a plastic chair must be out of their mind. I am in love with this ‘inspired/replica/whatever you want to call it’ version! Not the most comfortable I must admit, but it’s super cute! Mine doubles as an office accessory and a statement outdoor chair when guests are over.
Kara Swing Chair
These chairs have been on my home wishlist for a while now - which shows they’ve stood against the test of time. You’d be surprised how comfy they are, so don’t just a chair by its arms?
Roba Boucle Armchair
Isn’t this just the comfiest thing you’ve ever looked at? I can imagine myself curled up in the corner of the lounge with a glass of wine (white, so not to stain) and a new season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.

Westport Fabric Arm Chair
Now, before you go ahead and click ‘pay now,’ buyers be warned. Freedom has the longest wait time in history - and is always late - so if you’re willing to purchase, be prepared and patient. This chair, however, might just be worth it.
Safari Leather Bar Stool
I love this little punch of subtle colour, especially the ‘Martini Green’ which will go with so many colour schemes. If it’s not your thing, they’ve got a range of other leather colours too!
Morris Dining Chair
Order me a set of these please! The Morris is a gorgeous feature dining chair and would pair well with any set of chairs you already have. I’m a huge fan of light wood tones, so this ticks all the boxes.
Emilee Daybed
A collaboration between Beck Wadworth and David Shaw is any minimalist’s dream. If I had the space for a daybed, I’d pick this one any day. My favourite part is the matching bolster.
