Quarantini Cocktail Recipe - Lisa Style

Kick lockdown up a notch, Lisa is back and ready with a new spin on the Quarantini.

Hello, and welcome back to another cocktail by the infamous Lisa.
We’re in lockdown, and let’s face it, at least a handful of us ran to the closest liquor store before 11.59pm. So now that we’re fully stocked and ready to rumble - we bring you Lisa’s 2021 version of the Quarantini (no martini involved).
I was delivered the ingredients by video. Told to ensure there were “big effing ice cubes” and that it was mandatory to have more than one. I get the feeling this drink would be perfect for the flat’s game night.
1 part Cointreau
2 part Bacardi Rum
3 BIG ice cubes. Small ones will melt and water it down - we don’t want that.
Top up with fresh grapefruit juice,
1-2 if they are slightly old and delicious
Although you may need 3 - 4 if they are freshly picked.
If you haven’t prepared and lack the liquor required, The Market is your online saviour.
We’ve made it pretty simple. Because when you’re making this you’ve either A) stepped out of 100 zoom calls and are well and truly over it or B) already a few rounds deep.
Throw all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and give it a good shake.
Pour into a cocktail glass - we’d say a coupe. If you’re feeling extra fancy (and are reading this pre-supermarket shop) top with an edible flower for an extra gram’ impact.
