If you’re in saving mode to save for your future, you won’t feel left out in the tech world of 2021.
A few weeks ago, OPPO released the new Find X3 series which includes their flagship Pro and Lite devices. The Pro sports incredibly impressive technology with a cutting-edge quad camera and screen combination that captures and displays 1 billion colours. Showcasing two primary 50MP cameras; wide-angle and ultra wide-angle; and 10bit image and video processing capabilities, the Pro holds professional DSLR features. Furthermore, it yields high-quality 4K video with wide dynamic range and colour depth for the avid content creator. Simply put, the OPPO Find X3 Pro has set the bar amongst the big leagues of smartphones. Sitting on the pricier side, the Pro is $1899, so if you’ve got the budget for a top-tier device and you’re wanting to level up the quality of your content, I’d highly recommend the Pro.
If you’re wanting bang for your buck, the OPPO Find X3 Lite 5G is a decent mid-ranger worthy of consideration. For the past few weeks, I’ve been giving this device a good whirl. To give some context as a gadget reviewer, I’ve been using the OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G since last year and have been absolutely loving it. From the exceptional camera to the intuitive UI + UE and the gorgeous design, I’ve loved using this gorgeous slim beast everyday.
With the Find X3 Lite, I definitely rate it as a mid-range device. Design-wise, I was really impressed with the look and feel. The edges aren’t sharply curved and the back is textured so the phone is solid to hold without any slip. There won’t be any incidents of you dropping the phone on your face while you’re scrolling through Instagram in bed.
Specs-wise, the X3 Lite 5G runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G mobile platform and 65W Super VOOC 2.0 Flash Charge which means you can quick-charge your phone in 38 minutes. The battery life is impressive too and can last up to two days depending on usage.
The 6.4 OLED display is super crisp and incredibly responsive with smooth scrolling. Usually, the mid-tier phones are a bit slow and the quality of the fingerprint sensor suffers but to be honest, the Lite gives off a premium flagship phone vibe in both its design and user experience. In classic OPPO fashion, the camera quality is more than adequate. Sporting a 64MP main camera, 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro, it’s got all the features you need for crisp photography. And with a lot of Instagram content being zoom photos, the Lite delivers up to 20x zoom and satisfactory details up to 5x zoom.
It also offers 128gb of storage, albeit unexpandable, with Color OS, 8GB of RAM and Android 11 as their software. Affordable yet decent, the $799 price point is more than reasonable, so if you’re looking for something premium with good design and camera quality but don’t want to fork out the extra $1k, the Find X3 Lite is a pretty good solution.
