New In: What We’re Loving in Kiwi Fashion
BY GEORGIA ROSE
Us kiwis really know what we’re doing when it comes to fashion.

29 AUG - 2022
Shopping local has become a bit of a buzz-word over the past few years, but it’s no surprise we want to support local when the Kiwi fashion scene is fire.
Many will agree that the local talent we have down-under is extremely bad for the wallet - it’s hard not to purchase a full collection when every piece is stunning I’ve been so inspired by the recent Scandinavian Fashion Week circuit, and I think a few of these pieces would be perfect to recreate a few of the street style looks coming out of Copenhagen.

Deadly Ponies

Olivia Cashmore You Wish Dress
The detailing on this dress is my favourite. The shape perfectly highlights the waist, and flatters the body so well.
Deadly Ponies Rider Boot
Honestly, I never saw this pivot coming, but I’m so glad DP finally makes shoes! The Rider Boot is the perfect timeless piece for any wardrobe, and definitely elevates the Chelsea boot for us fashion girls who couldn’t quite pull the trigger on a pair of RM Williams.
Ellis Label Bustier Top
A little bit Khaite, a little bit Kiwi. All pieces at Ellis Label are made to order, so that minimal waste is made in the process, which is awesome. This top looks amazing on such a range of bodies, and also comes in a sexy dress number too!

Caitlin Crisp Smitten Top
We are loving the evolution of the tops at CC. They all have some sort of cut out, or can be worn in multiple ways (if you know me, you’ll know I love anything multi-use). In her latest collection, Season Seven, the Smitten Top is just that - made to be worn both ways for a different look.
Harris Tapper Kennedy Mini Dress
Need a new party dress? Look no further! The addition of the long bow is such a feature, and you’re sure to get loads of comments on a night out. It’s very Prada!
Benjamin Alexander Heidi Shirt
The Heidi Shirt is the perfect piece to give you that off duty model look. As it has a more heavy duty look than a plain white shirt, you can easily style this multiple ways.
Zambesi Arch Skirt
Mini skirts are back in, but honestly they all look the same. Go for something a little different with these cut out details by Zambesi.
Layplan Jovi Waistcoat
Tailoring is always in season. The Jovi is a great investment piece, it’s got great structure, and is made here in NZ. If you don’t know much about Layplan, be sure to check them out!

Kowtow Bloom Vest
This vest couldn’t have come at a better time. With Copenhagen Fashion Week wrapping up, we’ve been inundated with ‘cool girl’ style inspo, and this vest screams Ganni & Scandinavian style. See the imagery above with Emma Chamberlain wearing a similar one!
Deadly Ponies Mr Clinch Mini Pleated
This season, Deadly Ponies have really smashed it in my eyes. The new pleated additions to their collection are so beautiful, especially with the option of a leather handle or a longer gold chain.
