A blue primer you say? My skin is generally olive toned, so initially I wondered if it would work for me.
First impression - the floral fresh fragrance wasn't overpowering, just how I like it! When applying the primer to my face, I followed the recommendation of one pump and using small circular motions, starting in the centre of the face and working outwards. A little goes a long way as it spreads like soft butter. Luckily, the blue pigment doesn’t leave your face looking like a Smurfette. In fact, it brightens and reduces redness (and other discoloration, but specifically redness on my own face) to give an overall even complexion. I noticed my pores were visibly smaller and my skin looked as smooth as a baby’s bottom.
Due to its silky texture, after gently applying it I left it to sit and really seep deeper into the skin before continuing with my makeup routine. Note: this was 100% the best idea, since writing this I have tried it without letting it sit for a moment and my makeup slid off as there was nothing to ‘cling’ to. This primer has a small amount of teeny tiny gold reflects in it, like its predecessors, which I personally like and think that it adds to the youthful appearance you will have when using it.
Despite it not being aimed towards my skin tone, I really love this product! It feels luxurious and hydrating which is perfect for my dry skin. Basically - it does its job of evening out your complexion (covering up any discoloration) and creating a smooth base for your skin with or without makeup. Because a little goes a long way, the 30ml product should last you a decent amount of time.
