A breakdown of the exact makeup, skincare and beauty products used on Netflix’s Singles Inferno.

From Inferno to Paradise, these are the products that survived the heat.
Koreans do not play when it comes to their beauty routines. And considering the contestants had to do their own hair and makeup for the entire show, you already know they packed their absolute best. So today, we’re unpacking the cast’s “stuck on an island” beauty essentials. Many of these are staples within the Korean beauty community and true necessities for long lasting, camera ready glam that you can incorporate into your daily routines.

Romand Glasting Colour Gloss, $19 NZD.

Avene Eau Thermal Spring Water Spray
Jungseammool Essential Skin Nuder Cushion
An OG Korean cushion foundation. Medium coverage, long lasting and built for any and all weather. It gives that perfected but still skin-like finish that K-beauty does so well. Not surprised to see this make the island cut.
Note: $75 might feel like a splurge for a cushion foundation, but most come with a refill included — so you’re essentially getting two foundations in one.
Loreal Elnett Hair Spray

Loreal, Elnett Hair Spray, $14.49 NZD.
Torriden Solid In Ceramide Lip Essence
Spotted constantly, especially on Sunghun who was always reapplying his lip balm. He also used Aquaphor, so clearly lip hydration was a priority for him!
This is genuinely one of the best $10 lip balms I’ve tried. I picked it up from W Cosmetics and immediately understood the hype. I used it overnight and woke up with supple, cushiony lips.
Romand Glasting Colour Gloss Dim Mauve
Used by Goeun, this gloss has that slightly sticky texture, but in a good way. Just enough grip to make it long lasting without feeling uncomfortable. She consistently had that perfect pale nude lip, but K beauty style. Soft and muted, with just enough depth and dimension to avoid looking flat or washed out. Dim Mauve is the perfect shade for every nude lip combo.
Byredo Mojave Ghost
Okay, hear me out. I know it’s super blurry, but I did quite a lot of staring and investigating before coming to the conclusion that this Byredo fragrance is in fact Mojave Ghost.
Firstly, I could tell it had either a really long name or two words because the text stretches close to the edge of the label. Secondly, I can just about make out a faint “M” from what I can see.
Well, it also turns out that Mojave Ghost is the second most popular Byredo fragrance in Korea, just after Blanche, which honestly makes a lot of sense. I’m fairly confident this is Mingee’s station as well, especially since she’s seen using blue fringe rollers throughout the show.
Dior Lip Butter in Glazed Pink $72
Whether you love Mina Sue or not, her lips stayed glossy and hydrated through every yap. Glazed Pink feels like a softer, sparkly evolution of the iconic Dior 001 Lip Maximiser, with subtle silver shimmer that gives expensive energy. It’s giving “spoiled New York international student”, which tracks.
Aesop Hand Balm Resurrection
Spotted on Jooyoung’s bedside table. This is a Chatty Chums team favourite. At around $50, it’s not cheap, but the size, scent and formula justify it. This hand balm is nourishing without that slippery residue. Plus, if you love woody and citrusy scents, this is one to check out. With notes of mandarin rind, rosemary leaf and cedar atlas, Resurrection has that elevated, unisex feel Aesop does so well. And honestly, pulling this out of your bag? Immediate street cred.
Tony Moly Get it Tint Waterful Syrup
Spotted on Goeun’s bedside table next to her Romand gloss, this one makes perfect sense. The Tony Moly Get It Tint Waterful Syrup is oil based, making it ideal for dry lips that need both colour and comfort. The pigment isn’t harsh or overly staining, so you can reapply throughout the day without it going patchy or clinging to dry spots. Being oil based also means it holds up surprisingly well, even during certain water based challenges. If you know, you know.
PS on sale for $28 (was $40) at Tony Moly Australia.
Too Cool For School Artclass Frottage Pencil
I loved everyone's makeup style but I can’t deny that Jooyung had the most poppin’ aegyosal. This formula is genuinely different to any other eyeshadow pencil out there. It’s not creamy, it’s powdery. Think literal eyeshadow in a pencil form. That powder texture is what makes it perfect for highlighting the undereye without looking greasy or overly glittery. It has a satin, almost matte base with extremely fine shimmer that just catches the light. It doesn’t slide around or get absorbed into oily skin the way traditional creamy pencils do. The powdery finish is the whole point.
So Natural Makeup Sealer
Spotted in Yejin’s kit and a few others on set, the So Natural Makeup Sealer is a pro level beauty product. She’s a TV presenter, so long wear is non negotiable and it makes sense to see it in her makeup bag. It works as a final sealing layer over brows, eyeliner or mascara to truly lock it down. You can literally rub your eyes all over, and your makeup will not budge. A backstage essential in Korea for a reason.
Pair it with the So Natural Makeup Setting Mist for the ultimate long wear routine. As a makeup artist, this setting spray is genuinely non-negotiable in my kit. It’s also been revealed that Wonyoung, the it girl of K-pop, keeps this on hand behind the scenes. If it can survive stage lights and HD cameras, it can survive your day.
Conclusion:
At the end of the day, none of these products felt like random placements. The cast clearly leaned on their tried and true favourites to feel their best. It also felt like we got way more getting ready room footage this season, which made it infinitely more fun to watch. There’s just something about seeing what’s in someone’s makeup bag that never gets old.
There were also a few honourable mentions that deserve their moment. Mise en Scène Perfect Hair Serum for that glossy, polished finish. d’Alba White Truffle First Spray Serum for instant luminosity. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, a global icon. And Bioderma Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleanser, which is a Korean MUA staple.
See you in paradise!
