We’re only here for the looks.

Does anybody else remember when Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes back in the 2010s? I was truly hoping they'd bring him back around as a permanent host, but I guess people couldn't take the heat.

This year, we had Jo Koy as the MC, and people were not impressed! You know what was impressive, though? His under-eye concealer. Somebody better drop the product information right now because his under-eyes were looking brighter than the Golden Globes themselves.

Anyway, let's talk about the best looks from the red carpet.

Greta Lee

Greta Lee’s look from the Golden Globes is a fantastic example of how her makeup and hair completely made the look.

This was my personal favourite from the Golden Globes. From her dress to her glam, everything was perfect. Simple yet striking, you can tell her makeup artist really took the time to understand her face. Beautiful!

Rosamund Pike

Artistically, Rosamund Pike had one of the most beautiful makeup looks on the carpet. She was giving funeral chic and everything was gorgeous.

Despite the headpiece covering her entire face, adding a pop of blush ingeniously made her makeup one of the standout features of the look. This masterful touch was courtesy of makeup artist Melanie Inglessis. Pike was done up by Dior Beauty, leading me to speculate that the blush might be Dior Rosy Glow 001. It's the perfect shade of pink for an all-black outfit.

Andra Day

Andra Day wins the award for the best soft glam at the 2024 Golden Globes. Soft Glam looks might seem boring, but when it’s done right… it’s absolutely jaw-dropping. I hope Porsche reveals the details of her blush and lip combo!

Natasha Lyonne

Natasha Lyonne never fails. I might be a little biassed because she is an Aries queen, but every time I see her, I fall in love with her a little more. To me, this is a beautiful play on a Lana-Del-Rey-esque look that features the high glam, but paired with chic, messy hair. I love it!

Ariana Greenblatt

Ariana Greenblatt had the best smokey eye from the Golden Globes. Hands down. The hair and outfit really begged for a smokey eye and Greenblatt looked so sexy! I love when stylists successfully balance the masculine and feminine! Suit, smokey eye and effortless waves: magnificent.

Hari Nef

Hari Nef was giving me major celebrity vibes at the Golden Globes. She embodied the classic red carpet look with that hair, makeup and dress. The choice to maintain her orange hair colour was a brilliant touch, adding a modern edge that perfectly complemented the simplicity of her dress.

Emma Stone

I was so excited to see Emma Stone and I am not disappointed. Charlotte Tilbury always pulls through! Every time she does a red carpet look, she bloody kills it. However, I must say that I'm slightly uncomfortable with the no-necklace trend… In any case, Emma Stone is always giving minimalistic chic and she stayed true to herself. I can let a bare neck pass this one time.

Conclusion

That is a wrap on my favourite looks from the Golden Globes. You may say that my choices are a little boring, but this is my truth! What can I say? I love attention to detail, elegance and common sense.
