BY JENNY JUNG
There’s nothing wrong with wearing a little makeup to the gym. Here are the best breathable and sweat-proof products for your next workout!

Screw the pick-me’s who make you feel bad for wearing makeup to the gym. You do you.
For the days when you want a little boost to get you through a workout, the products I have to share are light, refreshing and most important of all - long lasting. But it’s not a routine that’s strictly for the gym only, they’re great for summer days, travelling with flustered schedules, for hiking or running errands!
Lightweight, radiant, sweatproof! Let’s get into it.
Smashbox Photo Finish Endurance Setting Spray
We want to use as few layers as possible when it comes to the gym. That way, you can feel free to wipe or touch your face without risking any serious smearing or smudging. The same applies when you have a long day ahead - remember, less is always more.
Try using a setting spray before your makeup application for a nice shot of hydration and ultimate longevity. The new Smashbox Photo Finish Endurance Setting Spray is an excellent option and a current favourite. This alcohol-free formula is perfect for sensitive skin and won't dry your skin out. Filled with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, this setting spray is breathable and protective.
BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Brightening Concealer
Hallelujah. Bareminerals has created the best true light-coverage concealer, where you won't have to endlessly buff into the skin for a lightweight feel.
The gel-hybrid texture makes this concealer unique and skin-like. The formula is synonymous with the original Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser, which means it will be hydrating, fast absorbing and incredibly natural. Tap under the eyes and anywhere else for an impossibly natural complexion that won't be melting off your face. Totally gym-approved!
Kosas Air Brow Fluff & Hold Treatment Gel
A brow gel is critical for minimal smudge and extra hold. However, if you need a little extra TLC in the brow department, opt for a tinted brow gel instead.
The Kosas Air Brow Fluff & Hold Treatment Gel is the gym bestie for brows. The gel texture helps add volume and colour to the brows without weighing down the hairs. Furthermore, the formula doesn't clump or feel crunchy, so it's perfect for fast application and touch-ups after you're out of the gym.
I would even skip the mascara and work this gel into the lashes after a good curl!

Skip the Blush- Use a Gel-Powder Bronzer Instead
If you're working hard at the gym, the natural flush will be more than enough blush! Instead, add some colour to your complexion with a little gel-powder bronzer. This is an excellent option for anybody who doesn't like the look and feel of traditional powders. I also like to use them on people with a lot of peach fuzz or dryness, as this unique formula won't accentuate skin texture.
If you want to try this formula out, start with the Huda Beauty Glowish Soft Radiant Bronzer. When you swirl your brush into the pan, you will notice zero powder kick up, and that's how you know it is a gel powder.
On application, this product is not as shimmery as it appears. Instead, it has a lovely radiance that makes you look healthy and well-rested. Additionally, the higher percentage of moisture in these powders allows for a smoother application and better longevity. Perfect for the gym!
Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm
Recently, I tried the Clinique Chubby Sticks again, and I have to say that a classic formula never disappoints. It's a great little throwback to 2015 when the Chubby Sticks were all the rage, but it really is a great product!
Super convenient to use, moisturising, non-sticky and lightly tinted - the Chubby Sticks are for sure gym-approved. The shades Bountiful, Whole Lotta Honey and Heaping Hazelnut are excellent MLBB options that will be great for the gym.
