My favourite sunscreen that keeps my skin healthy, youthful, and wrinkle-free.

Even though we are constantly being reminded about the dangers of the sun, only a few people are dedicated daily sunscreen wearers. While we tend to be pretty good at coating our skin with sunscreen during the summer months, the reality is that sunscreen should be applied everyday. Yes, even on those overcast days.
Don’t be fooled by rainy weather and cloudy skies, the impact of the sun is ever continuous and we must protect ourselves with the correct products as often as possible. Afterall, sunscreen is the most effective form of protection against sun precipitated ageing.
Now that we are in 2022, gone are the days of greasy, sticky formulas that leave a ghostly white cast and never seem to work with makeup! In the ever growing skincare market and a heightened level of attention in the sunscreen industry specifically, you’ll find that so many products on the market have caught onto the needs of everyday women. With a little bit of searching, you’ll be able to find the perfect sun protection regimen that will gel right into your everyday routine.
For now, this is my go-to recommendation that I believe will work for a diverse range of people.

For sensitive skin guys and gals - this is your calling. Due to my finicky skin, I typically tend to break out from most sunscreens. However, I have not experienced any irritation from the Mecca Screen Saver thanks to the hydrating and soothing ingredients such as aloe vera and chamomile. Furthermore, if you're a beauty lover like me, you’ll be glad to know that this is one of the best sunscreens I have used that does not pill over my moisturiser or mess with my makeup! I am super appreciative of brands that prioritise our needs when formulating preference-sensitive products like sunscreens. The Screen Saver is a perfect example of an SPF that is friendly for all skin types and skin tones. Despite it being a broad spectrum SPF, the white cast is barely noticeable and blends right into the skin. If you have a deeper skin tone, I have noticed that a dusting of bronzer or a tinted moisturiser completely eradicates this hurdle. You will only need to use a teaspoon of SPF on your face, neck and ears. It may seem like a lot but this is the required quantity to achieve the SPF30 coverage that is stated on the packaging. Blend and smooth into your skin the same way your would with any moisturiser and feel the hydrating magic.
