A Review of the Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy Makeup Kits

Charlotte Tilbury must have been channelling my desire for simple, fuss-free makeup. If you're a minimalist beauty enthusiast like me, you need this multipurpose cream trio. Who wants to deal with the complications of endless products and combinations every time you put on makeup? Not to mention, the emotional labour of picking your essential products before a flight. Enter this box of essentials here.
The Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy, 5 Minute Makeup, Looks first launched in 2016 and now has a glamorous update for 2022. The line was initially launched with the slogan ‘Slick it, Line it, Sculpt it’ and has been now updated with ‘Scribble, Smudge, Swipe and Go!’
This compact yet sturdy device fits into all my bags with no hassle. It's cute, practical, and stunning. Not to mention, there’s a mirror inside for all those dire moments. Charlotte has thought of everything. The set includes an eyeshadow, a highlighter, and lip/cheek colour, and as a bonus, they are all cream base. All three are buttery sticks that glide on gently and then blend with a finger.
The products themselves are standard Charlotte Tilbury quality - amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of product that comes with each of these wands. I was expecting travel size, but these are more than that.
Today, I’ll be reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury Quick & Easy Makeup in ‘Pretty Fresh.’

Highlighter
The Easy Highlighter Stick is flawless. Like its shade name ‘Chic Glow,’ it sports a super glowy and glass-like look to my cheeks and brow bone. Luminous with pearlescent pigments, the balmy formula has a relatively neutral shade, which is excellent for a range of skin tones.
It’s a serious upgrade from my current highlighter solution. I think my ABH Sugar Glow Kit needs to be buried deeper than the bottom of my makeup drawer.
Thank god for the latest evolution of makeup.
Cheek/Lip
This is the first time I’ve tried a Charlotte Tilbury blush, other than a lipstick with which I gave a good shot at cheek colouring. This product goes onto the skin like such a treat. It's smooth and soft but not in a way that the product disappears with one swipe. This lip/blush solution should last you a decent amount of flawless time.
The Pretty Fresh shade is a rich corally pink. CT released five trio combinations with lip/cheek wands in terracotta pink, mauve, and neutral rose tones. All shades have been crafted to suit a different walk in life. For example, The Pretty Fresh shade is perfect for fair skin tones who love to don the healthy clean girl look that’s on trend right now! On the other hand, the Date Night shade is ideal for nights out and a more glamorous make-up look.

Eye Wand
Obviously, Charlotte Tilbury is well versed in making gorgeous eyeshadow shades. Just take their entire range from the Eyes To Mesmerise line, which is simply perfect and well-loved by the beauty community. The Eye Wand within this compact isn't here to mess around either. It’s so easy to apply for a quick and fresh look. The shade included is ‘Pretty Fresh Eyes’ - a champagne pink shimmery shade that has been formatted from the CT Mesmerising line .
A quick swipe from the outer corner inwards and only using my ring finger with the built-in mirror is genuinely fabulous. The product is buildable and blendable, which works great with my lack of skill. My first go with the eye look lasted the entire day and took about a minute per eye. I tend to avoid shadows because of the dryness and irritation after long wear but this product feels light and hydrating – yes, I should be priming, but who has time for that? Not me with my new Quick & Easy kit.
So, while I’ve been rambling on to you about the pure magic this product issues, I didn't realise that the product has been formed with literal health ingredients like jojoba oil, caffeine, and Vitamin B3. This triple confirms why the product felt so nourishing. Not magic, but instead wellness ingredients – I'm obsessed.
Final Verdict
It might be pushing it slightly to say that this compact gives a 5-minute makeup look. But, if you have already applied moisturiser, foundation, and concealer, 5 minutes will get you pretty far. I think that The Pretty Fresh Trio I have been using will be a staple in my handbag, and I look forward to the next time I whip it out. I don't love that this shade has been marketed at the trio to take to the gym… I won't be wearing this to the gym, but to lunches and outings where I want to feel cute, rosey, and hydrated.
Buying the complete set costs $99, which is pretty steep. However, if you want to purchase refills for each wand, that’s possible too. I have noted the costs down below. While the idea of a refillable line is progressing in the right direction, it is still quite pricey—though good quality. This is an excellent kit for someone who wears and owns little to no makeup. The products are designed to be multipurpose.
