Three ways to use the latest must-have you never knew you needed. Slide-free luminosity ensues.

Exude a low-wattage radiance that's astonishingly natural.
For those that have been with us since 2016, you’ll know that we’re no strangers to Dior when it comes to makeup. In fact, if I had to choose one makeup brand to use for the rest of my life, it would be Dior. Luxurious in every way, Dior produces the most incredible formulas to keep you looking chic, elegant and most importantly, on trend.
The latest beauty invention to deserve its own stand alone review is the new Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder. We all get it - youthful glowy and dewy skin is the ultimate thing that we are striving for. But for those with oily skin, glowy products usually end up sliding off or sinking into uneven skin to exacerbate the porous look that resembles miniature craters.
2021 has brought to us a new skew of products that resolves this problem. We’re given powder options that are translucent that can mattify the skin while not dimming the skin’s luminosity. You get to control unwanted shine while still amplifying the glow factor! It’s the thing that you never knew you needed. Or maybe you did and you used low-shimmer highlighting powder to dust off your full face like I have been.
Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder
Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder does exactly this - but there’s more than one way to use it. It creates a naturally matte finish that isn’t powdery or velvety. Compacted into a gel-like formula, it mostly consists of mica and silicones. Think blurring effects with a micro-pearlescent finish to exude a low-wattage radiance that appears astonishingly natural.
The finish is satin-matte and the powder is super duper fine, allowing it to fuse with the skin without a powdery finish. Because of its highly silicone base, Powder-No-Powder has a strong blurring effect too so that it can be used on its own as a powder-based foundation.
Your New Favourite Powder Foundation
It wasn’t my first choice of application but when used with the Dior Buffing Brush, $80, it built up an amazing complexion by blurring out any imperfections and evening my skin tone. It’s a fine-milled product so it starts off transparent and very sheer but it builds up very easily to medium coverage without any caking. I use the shade 2N.
If you’ve got oily skin and liquid foundations are a complete no-go, the Powder-No-Powder can still give you a lit-from-within glow while absorbing shine. It’s perfect for when you need to run out of the house in less than two minutes. Powder-No-Powder comes in ten shades that match the Face & Body Foundation range and from what I’ve read, there’s a shade to suit every skin tone and makes for the perfectly sheer complexion fixer for men!
Touch & Go
Another way to use the Powder-No-Powder is as a setting and touch-up powder. I’ve got dry skin so I love that it doesn’t pull and tug at my skin. The powder is so fine that it’s pretty much invisible and it doesn’t dampen any glow work I’ve layered on my skin. I also love that it’s not a loose powder and is in a compact so there’s no mess or spillage to deal with. I use a large fluffy brush to lightly dust my face and set my makeup.
Bronze & Glow
And finally, I have been bloody loving using Powder-No-Powder as my bronzer for an incredibly natural sun-kissed contour. There’s no streaks and even if you apply what seems to be ‘too much,’ it’s super easy to blend out.
Packaging-wise, need I say anything more? The powder is stamped with the old school Dior emblem and the clear casing is utterly chic. It’s one of those things that you’d be proud to whip out of your handbag.
