Violet blush and juicy lips, what more do you need?

In true Capricorn style, Sophie gravitates toward warm, neutral tones. For this shoot, I wanted to nudge her just outside her comfort zone with cooler, more playful shades of violet and silver. It felt like the perfect way to show her that colour can be fun and experimental without feeling “too much.”

Levi leaned into a flirty-sporty direction for styling: warm layers in vibrant neutrals with a feminine edge. There’s something so satisfying about balancing polish with play. It wasn’t about perfection, it was about movement, colour and radiance. Here’s how I built it.

BASE

To create that effortless glow that reads more creamy than dewy, I started with the Missha BB Cream which is a staple for soft coverage with a real-skin finish. I set selectively with the now sadly discontinued Giorgio Armani Loose Powder, which gives the skin a soft blur without killing the glow.

Right at the end, a generous mist of Fenty Setting Spray to lock everything in and give the skin a hydrated, lived-in sheen. Sometimes, the right setting spray can really marry all the textures to create a flawless finish.

CHEEKS

For blush, I wanted colour that felt playful but intentional. I tapped Smashbox Hot Stx Blush Stick in Ultraviolet onto the apples of the cheeks, then added Poppy Pic in a more sweeping, liberal application to lift and sculpt. The layering of cool violet and bright poppy created this energetic flush that mirrored the styling perfectly.

If you’ve got a purple blush in your collection but find yourself hesitating to use it, try pairing it with a pink-toned blush to enhance the colour and create a more wearable colour. The pink softens the coolness of the purple, bringing out a fresher, more balanced flush that feels less experimental and more effortlessly chic.

EYES

Leaning into the cooler tones of the blush, I kept the eyes sparkly but wearable. I layered the Fenty Diamond Bomb in How Many Carats?! over a soft wash of black and grey shadows to channel a wearable Y2K-inspired moment. The shimmer catches light beautifully and feels unexpected against the sporty styling. A few coats of mascara on the top and bottom lashes added to the playful vibe and helped anchor the sparkle.

I love pairing super girly, youthful makeup looks with boxy, tomboy-inspired outfits. There’s something about the contrast that feels so unexpected, and it adds this playful charm that instantly brightens the whole vibe.

LIPS

The lips were all about colour play. I layered different shades of the Romand Juicy Lasting Tints in the shades Mulled Peach and Dark Coconut, along with the MECCA MAX Lip Lock Balmy Stains to create a stained glass effect that felt fresh and dimensional. Then, I applied a generous coat of Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Big Lip Plumpgasm to melt everything together and amplify shine.

CONCLUSION

This second look was all about playful contrast: soft meets structured, sporty meets sweet. Hope you enjoyed browsing through one of our favourite shoots we’ve done to date,
