Trend alert 2024 edition.
Not that anybody is obliged to follow trends but they are definitely a great way to collaborate with fellow fashion and beauty lovers all around the world. As for the trends of 2024, who really knows? For now, we’ve put together a collection of what we think will be at the top of the game this year.

Colour of the Season: Red
There is no doubt about it. The colour of the season is the iconic cherry red. Whether you’re rocking this shade on the lips, cheeks, shoes or accessories, cherry red is here to stay.
Cherry red is confident, sexy and independent. If a bold red lipstick is out of your comfort zone, opt for a cherry red lip balm for a similar effect with a softer vibe.

A Viva Magenta Comeback?
Although the red lip is the biggest craze as of right now, we predict that magenta will be the new red lip of 2024. This bright, pinkened red is absolutely to die for in a matte formula.
We’re all guilty of indulging in nostalgia and we see it all the time in beauty and fashion trends. Seeing that viva magenta was the colour of the year 2023, we wouldn’t be surprised if it made a comeback this year.

Colourful Lashes
The influence of Euphoria in the beauty world is very much alive and well. Although head-to-toe Euphoria looks seem to be weeding out over time, little quirks like colourful makeup is here to stay in 2024 - especially on the lashes.
With the release of colourful mascaras from brands all around the world, we are bound to see blue, pink, maroon or green lashes everywhere this year. In particular, we have been loving the new mascara range from Hermes Beauty which features a deep magenta, rich emerald green, teal blue, royal purple and more! Sabrina Carpenter Glam
Sabrina Carpenter will be the it girl of 2024. Her rise to stardom is no accident considering her talent, outfits, hair and of course, the glam. The Sabrina look can be characterised by flushed cheeks all across the midsection of the face, overlined lips in a bruised pinky-red shade, a wing liner and dark brows.
It feels like the upgraded clean-girl makeup which we will be leaving behind in 2023. Instead, we’re sure to expect more glam, meaning more effort.

More Bows, More Braids
This year, hair will be just as important to the face in order to complete the look. During the pandemic, lockdown allowed people to really learn new styles and techniques including the overnight blow out and heatless curls. Although the blow out will continue to keep its popularity, 2024 will embrace interesting and technical styles that go beyond shape and volume. Instead, we expect to see a lot more updos and braided styles with a cute yet edgy vibe. Hair accessories will be huge this year like bows, clips and claws.

Peachy Blush>>>
Pink blush has had its moment and we predict that peach blush will be making a huge comeback this year. Keep in mind that the Pantone colour of the year is Peach Fuzz in 2024 and this will make its way into the beauty world in no time.

Halo Eyes
2016 glam making a comeback isn’t anything new. I guess we’ve exhausted the natural looks and we’re ready to see a bit more colour and shape on the eyes. By placing a deeper shade on the outer and inner corners of the eyes with a bright pop in the middle, the halo eye makes an impression.
In 2016, this look would be paired with a big pair of lashes and a matte lip. However, in 2024, natural lashes on a dramatic look helps the overall vibe look chic and editorial. Slap on a glossy lip for a muted and naked look to add to this effect and you’re ready to go!

Done, Undone Colourful Eyeshadow
In 2023, we saw the death of the “everyday makeup look.” With the rise of social media in the past 5 years, we realised that everybody has their own twist on the everyday makeup look. Turns out, people were wearing colourful eyeshadow or a bright lip in an everyday context all the time, and 2024 is about to see more of this attitude.
Where the early days of makeup focused a lot more on artistry when it came to colourful looks, 2024 is carefree and effortless. One shade of matte blue (or any colour) swiped and roughly blended with a lick of mascara is the new chic. Want to take it to the next level? Bush them brows and gloss the lips for the ultimate French chic vibe with a rebellious twist.

Luxury Lip Balms
Lip balms are having a moment and we’re predicting to see a lot more from luxury skincare and makeup companies. Keep hoarding these babies. In 2024, we need to see every brand create their own formula and shade range of tinted or untinted lip balms.
Our current favourite has been the Lucid Lip Gloss/ Balm! It has a non-sticky formula that feels nourishing on the lips. The glass vial also amps up the luxe feel and the sheer pink tint of the gloss is actually clear on the lips so you can use it with every lip combo!
