Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Complexion Drops
Westman Atelier is proving itself to be one of the best makeup brands on the market today. Extremely high quality, from the packaging to the ingredients, we love a good Westman Atelier moment.
Recently dropped, the Vital Skincare Complexion Drops are for those with drier skin types. It feels like an oil and foundation hybrid that is super nourishing and hydrating. It is the perfect remedy for those who cannot find the right product for their dry finicky skin.
Coverage-wise, you would be surprised to know that the pigment spheres are rather substantial, which means you can build it up quite well. Despite this, it sits on the skin like a magical glowy film that works very well with texture, dry patches and pores.
Although expensive, complexion products are worth splurging on, especially when there are fantastic skincare benefits. For example, Tsubaki oil, ginseng, pomegranate extracts, and ginger root complex will hydrate and brighten the skin. Antioxidants are also a plus in a foundation as they fight free radicals during the day.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand
The matte complexion is coming back, and I am here for it! Not only do I love a matte moment, but I am also really happy for the oily-skin girlies and guys who are finally getting what they need.
The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wands come in three shades of pink, peach and berry for a refreshingly simplified colour selection that speaks to everybody. Sometimes, that's really all we need.
This formula is entirely different from other CT beauty wands, so approach it cautiously. However, this formula is not drying at all! It is much softer to the touch and has a slight blurring touch that is perfect for those who prefer a soft-matte finish rather than a dewy one. It is also created with flawless film formers for a much more long-lasting effect.
Happy Endings by Hair By Sam McKnight
Hair By Sam McKnight is one of my favourite haircare brands. His range of products is incredibly simplistic, and they don't fuss around with classic formulas. His recent drop, however, boasts a range of different products that cater to a much larger variety of hair types. I love that!
I am most excited about Happy Endings. It is a hair treatment that is clinically proven to seal up to 50% of split ends per use. I have very thick and unruly hair when unstyled, so I love a good serum that isn't heavy, oily or sticky. After experimenting with this product, I have found my favourite everyday hair bestie. It is lightweight, strengthening and shiny without the heavy feel.
Happy Endings by Hair By Sam McKnight, $80 NZD.
Rituel de Fille The Black Orb Enigmatic Eyeliner: Iron
This one is for those who are passionate about makeup. I am so incredibly excited about the Rituel de Fille Black Orb Enigmatic Eyeliner in the shade Iron.
You can use it as eyeliner, eyeshadow base or lipstick. The Black Orb Enigmatic Eyeliners are incredibly high pigment and ultra-creamy. Considering this deep red maroon shade, you can explore your dark side and amp up your smokey eyes by using this as a base.
I love burgundy on the eyes for every eye colour. Brown, blue, green, black, hazel- it will make your eyes pop like no other! If you have yet to experiment with this sort of colour or product, start with Rituel de Fille- you won't regret it. The quality is similar to other high-end artistry brands like Surratt.
M.A.C Hyper Real Skin Canvas Balm
If you are searching for a new primer, try the M.A.C Hyper Real Skincavas Balm. Don't let the name fool you. This isn't a rich, balmy formula whatsoever. Instead, the Skincanvas balm is incredibly smooth and has a fast-absorbing feel. Packed with ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, mango and avocado oil, it will strengthen your skin barrier before you put on your makeup.
If you are sceptical, try the mini size! I am not a huge one for primers, but products like the Skincanvas remind me how much of a difference it can make to your makeup application!
On a Date by Maison Margiella Replica
Replica makes some of the best-priced fragrances for the quality, packaging and variety of scents. If you have been following up with Replica for the past few years and have been waiting for a floral accord, "On a Date" is the one to check out.
Despite its heavy romantic connotations of being inspired by a magical date overlooking the magnificent vineyards of Provence, France, this fragrance is surprisingly fresh and nuanced.
Opening with a blackcurrant liquor accord, On a Date is a true floral- green and refreshing. Further down the line, you get a big hit of Isparta rose petal essence and patchouli for a mature and womanly floral that doesn't feel like an overly sweet perfume.
Benefit Fluff Up Brow Wax
Benefit has the solution for you if you have thicker brows and cannot find a brow gel that can tame them. The Fluff Up Brow Wax reminds me of my favourite Surratt Brow Pomade, but it is a fraction of the price and much more accessible.
Unlike traditional gels, the Fluff Up Brow Wax is a wax formula that looks white but dries down completely translucent. I recommend applying this product in the opposite direction of your brow growth and then smoothing it out at the end for the best hold and results.
Rare Beauty Silky Touch Highlighter
The Rare Beauty Silky Touch Highlighter has been making waves on social media for its unique formula. It packs a massive punch of glow, but it does not appear powdery on the skin! It is magical. Not to mention how great the price is. Truly silky, Rare Beauty is doing some fantastic things in the beauty industry.
If you love a blinding highlight or want to dabble in trying a bright, beaming highlighter, give the Rare Beauty Silky Touch Highlighter a go.
Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Liner
Everybody is talking about the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plumps, but have you seen the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Liners? This lip liner formula is perfect for beginners who will benefit from starting with a creamy formula.
While there are only four shades, they are all so gorgeous. If you consider yourself a true spring or summer colour palette, you must check them out. As for the formula, they glide on like butter but set after you put it in place.
Morphe 18CT Matte Essentials Artistry Palette
Nowadays, it's hard for makeup brands to come out with inventive eyeshadow palettes because everything has already been done! Or has it?
Morphe recently dropped the 18CT Matte Essentials Artistry Palette, which has blown my socks off. The selection of 18 cool, neutral and mauve browns and greys is just a marvel. The formula is soft, blendable, and perfect for beginners or seasoned makeup artists.
We barely see affordable cool-toned matte palettes because they are so hard to make at a lower price point, but Morphe has done it! It's giving affordable Viseart vibes, and I am so hyped for this release! It is also great for all skin tones, fair or deep. That is a major win for Morphe.
